Name: Elaya Norodir (Danno)
Age: 15
Gender: female
Family:
Emlin Norodir; mother [D]
Aidan Norodir; brother [D]
Father - unknown
Nardhion; uncle [?]
Appearance: Mid-height, skinny. Short, wavy, gold hair, blue eyes. Dresses as a boy.
Character: Elaya is young and somewhat sheltered, but not naïve- she knows how to look after herself. Elaya is quite guarded, and generally does not open up to strangers until she had gotten to know them well. Her personality was more open, carefree, and positive before the fire, thought she was not wholly innocent. However, since the fire and the death of her mother and brother, her character has become darker, less trusting, and far more pessimistic. In the weeks on the road since she left her village she has recovered somewhat, however, she is still deeply troubled by the event, and it has left a lasting mark on her personality.
Background: Elaya was born in a small village and raised by her mother alone. Their family was lower class, not dirt poor, but money was scarce and they had to work hard. Elaya never knew her father, it was the one subject her mother refused to ever discuss. All she knows is that his brother supposedly lives in Taradell.
About three weeks ago, Elaya was running an errand to a neighboring village, and was away from home for an entire day. When she returned home that evening, she was met by disaster: her family's simple house was completely destroyed, reduced to ashes by a devastating fire. All she could gather from the other villagers was that the fire had started at around noon, her mother and brother had been inside, and no one had been able to put it out. It wasn't long after that that the landlord arrived. Instead of offering sympathy, he demanded compensation for the destruction of his propery. Elaya was dumbfounded, she'd just lost all her family and the only home she knew, she had nothing. With nothing but trouble left for her in that village, she disguised herself as a boy, stole a horse from the landlord, and set out toward Taradell in hope of finding the only living family member she knew of. Since then, she'd been on the road, working for farmers doing chores and odd jobs for a few days at a time in each village she passed through.
